About the Instructor Certification Program at the Tai Chi Association.
The Tai Chi Association of Colorado Springs offers Teacher Training and Instructor Certification to select applicants.
Being certified from a recognized source like The Tai Chi Association of Colorado Springs is extremely helpful to individuals that are interested in teaching Tai Chi and/or Qigong in public places like the YMCA, Senior Centers, Gyms, Health Clubs, and Wellness Programs for Businesses, Hospitals and Retirement Communities.
To apply to become a certified Tai Chi instructor, please contact us at 719-375-8339 to schedule an interview with Sifu Michael Paler. Interviews are not required to attend classes at the Tai Chi Association, only for Instructor Certification. Cost, time requirements and schedule for instructor certification will be discussed during the interview.
When you complete each Level, you will receive a beautiful Certificate of Completion signed by Sifu Michael Paler that you can use as proof of training, and we will add you to our Certified Instructors page on this website.

Green Level I Certified Instructor
With a Level 1 Certification you will be able to teach the First Section of Large Frame Form (108 Form) movements 1 -17, and all the necessary and included Fundamental Body Mechanics, Energetics (Tai chi’s 13 energies) and 2 person application for each of the movements. Basic Theory, Philosophy and Principles.

Green Level II Certified Instructor
With a Level II Certification you will be able to teach the entire Large Frame 108 Form, with Intermediate Body Mechanics, Energetics (Qigong) and 2 person applications for each of the movements. Basic Theory, Philosophy and Principles.

Red Level III Certified Instructor
With a Level III Certification you will be able to teach 2 person drills. (Tuishou & Rou Shou) Know yourself, but also know others. This level is about 2 Person Training, Basic Theory, Philosophy and Principles.

Red Level IV Certified Instructor
With a Level IV Certification you will be able to teach our (jibengong and kaimengong)

Yellow Level V Certified Instructor
With a Level V Certification you will be able to teach our Tai Chi Ball Form with Body Mechanics, Structure, Principles and Form.

Yellow Level VI Certified Instructor
With a Level VI Certification you will be able to teach our Tai Chi 13 Broadsword Form with Body Mechanics, Structure, Principles and Form.
